Arrests - Dangerous Driving / Weapons - ASU Support - Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested four people after a dangerous driving incident on Saturday morning.

On August 6th, 2022, at approximately 2:45 a.m., police attempted to make a traffic stop near 22nd Street West and Avenue X South. The vehicle did not stop and attempted to evade police. The SPS Air Support Unit was able to track the vehicle, and a tire-deflation device was used at 11th Street West and Avenue W South. The vehicle came to a stop in a ditch off 11th Street and Highway 7, where four people fled on foot. All four were arrested without further incident, a short distance from the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle discovered a machete, knife and BB gun. The vehicle was found to have been stolen out of Edmonton, Alberta.

A 19-year-old man faces charges of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Dangerous Driving, Evading Police, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x3), and Breach of Conditions.

An 18-year-old man faces charges of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x3), and Breach of Conditions.

A 20-year-old woman and 37-year-old woman both face charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x3).
