One year later, the Saskatoon Police Service is renewing its request for public assistance in the 2021 homicide of Kelly Dean Quewezance.
In the early morning hours of August 22, 2021, firefighters were extinguishing a fire in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent West when they were approached by a passerby reporting an unresponsive man in the area. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died. An autopsy later confirmed the man, 39-year-old Kelly Dean Quewezance, to be the victim of homicide.
The investigation into his death is continuing. Investigators are asking anyone who knows something to say something; if you have information believed to be relevant, contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The suspicious death investigation into a man found unresponsive in the early morning hours of August 22, 2021 on the 600 block of Spadina Crescent West is now being investigated as the city’s sixth homicide of the year. Following a completed autopsy, 39 year-old Kelly Dean Quewazance is confirmed to have been the victim of homicide; a cause of death is not being released.
The investigation into a second suspicious death that occurred in the early morning hours of August 22, 2021 is continuing with support from the Office of the Chief Coroner.
