The Saskatoon Police Service is reminding motorists that school zone speed limits will be in effect this week.

Starting September 1, 2022 all school zones will have a speed limit of 30 km/h. In addition, there are some changes beginning this year that drivers should be aware of:

School zone speed limits will be in effect year-round for elementary schools, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Speed limits of 30 km/h will also be in effect for playground zones.

High schools will no longer have school zone speed limits of 30 km/h,

U-turns remain restricted in school zones.
