Charges have been laid in connection to a fatal collision at Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street West on October 7, 2022.
A 28-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death (x2) and Criminal Negligence Causing Death (x2). He will appear in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on June 27, 2023 in Courtroom #4.

The Saskatoon Police Service Collision Analyst Unit is continuing to investigate following a fatal two vehicle collision which occurred on October 7, 2022.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street West at approximately 10:40 p.m, and involved a Jeep Compass and a Peterbuilt Power Unit with two loaded trailers. Both the man, aged 59, and the 60 year old woman were transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The 27 year old truck driver was not injured.
An update will be provided when the investigation is concluded.
Saskatoon Police are at the scene of a collision involving a semi and another vehicle at 22nd Street and Diefenbaker Drive.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:40pm, October 7, 2022. The Collision Analyst Unit is on scene investigating. Two people were transported to the hospital.
Due to the investigation there are the following traffic restrictions: eastbound 22nd Street is closed from Diefenbaker Drive to Confederation Drive and the southbound and northbound lanes of Diefenbaker Drive across 22nd Street.
Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
