The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team has made an arrest that included the seizure of over 600 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine.
On October 6th, 2022, just before 9:00 p.m., the SPS Tactical Support Unit assisted in a high risk traffic stop in the 200 block of Fairmont Drive. The lone-occupant of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man, was arrested without further incident. Cocaine, methamphetamine, cash, and items consistent with drug trafficking were seized from the vehicle.
Investigators were then authorized to search a residence in the 1900 block of 22nd Street West. Officers seized ammunition, additional methamphetamine and cocaine, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
The combined investigation seized the following:
- 461.7 grams methamphetamine
- 31.1 grams powdered cocaine
- 174.1 grams cocaine/meth mixture
- $7690.00 cash
- Paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking (cell phones, digital scales, and documents)
- 40 packages cannabis extracts
- Shotgun ammunition
The 27-year-old man is charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance x 2 (Cocaine, Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2 (Cocaine, Methamphetamine), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, and several weapons related charges.
