The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team has arrested four people in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.
On October 8th, 2022, at around 11:00 p.m., the SPS Tactical Support Unit and Canine Unit were utilized to perform a high risk traffic stop on Central Avenue, just north of College Drive. Three people were arrested without further incident. Upon searching the vehicle a large amount of methamphetamine was found inside and seized.
The investigation led officers to a residence in the 100 block of Hedley Street, where a search warrant had been granted. A 41-year-old woman was arrested at the residence without further incident.
The following was seized as a result of the investigation:
- Modified 12 gauge shotgun
- A 2018 Harley Davidson Road Glide – previously reported stolen
- 517.5 grams methamphetamine
- 43.5 grams cocaine
- Paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking (cellular phones and digital scales)
- Shotgun and rifle ammunition
- Expandable baton
A 43 year-old man faces charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance x2 (Methamphetamine, Cocaine), Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking x2 (Methamphetamine, Cocaine), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, and seven weapon related charges.
A 41-year-old woman is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon x2, and four other weapon related charges.
A 48-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman are both charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). The 48-year-old man was also charged with Operation of a Vehicle while Prohibited.
