A 24 year old man is facing charges following a stabbing that occurred yesterday.
At approximately noon, September 27, 2022, Police were called to the 100 block of Shillington Cres. to a report of a person who was injured. Upon arrival Police located a man suffering from a stab wound. He reported that he and a woman had been in a parking lot at the location when another male attempted to hit them with his vehicle before chasing the victim on foot and stabbing him. The 51 year old victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
Officers were able to locate the male suspect and bring him into custody. He is now charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault With a Weapon and Breach of Release Order. The accused and victim are known to each other.
