Police Presence - Wedge Road & Bowman Crescent

Two people have been arrested and charged, as part of a Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team investigation.

On November 29th, 2022 at approximately 6:15 p.m., a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were arrested in the 100 block of Betts Avenue, in connection to the investigation. Then on November 30th, 2022, at around 2:15 a.m., the SPS Tactical Support Unit assisted in securing and searching a residence in the 400 block of Bowman Crescent.

A search of the suspects and the residence resulted in the seizure of:

  • Collapsible baton
  • Brass knuckles
  • A fixed blade knife
  • Three gun barrels
  • Satchel containing a small amount of methamphetamine

The 32-year-old man faces ten charges including Possession of a Dangerous Weapon x2 (Brass Knuckles, Collapsible Baton), Possession of a Concealed Weapon, and Breach of Conditions. The 35-year-old woman faces charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Breach of Conditions.

Traffic restrictions at Wedge Road & Bowman Crescent have now been lifted.

Saskatoon Police Service is advising members of the public of police presence in the area of Wedge Road and Bowman Crescent in regards to a police investigation being conducted in the area.

SPS is reminding pedestrian and vehicular traffic to avoid the area until further notice.

There is no immediate risk to the public at this time.
