The Saskatoon Police Service General Investigations Section has made an arrest in connection to a structure fire that occurred on December 4th.
On December 6th, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., after further investigation by arson and forensic identification investigators, a 40-year-old woman was arrested without further incident. Investigators believe that on December 4th, 2022, the 40-year-old woman started a fire in the 800 block of Kingsmere Boulevard. She then fled the scene without notifying the occupants of the residence.
The 40-year-old woman is charged with Arson with Disregard for Human Life.

Police are investigating a structure fire that may have been incendiary.
On December 4, 2022 at around 5:00 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of Kingsmere Boulevard for a report of a multi-unit residential structure fire. Members of the Saskatoon Fire Department arrived on scene and mitigated the fire emergency without incident. Preliminary investigation by officers on scene led to the engagement of arson and forensic identification investigators.
The investigation is ongoing; a criminal determination of the cause has not yet been identified and no charges have been laid.
