One man is in custody after attempting to evade police while impaired.

On February 10th, 2022, at around 11:15 p.m., police observed a truck travelling westbound on 33rd Street West, near Avenue P North, at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over but it did not stop. While evading police, the vehicle collided with two other vehicles before stopping. No injuries were reported from occupants of the other vehicles.

The driver of the truck, a 60-year-old man, was arrested and transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services, with non-life threatening injuries.

The 60-year-old man is charged with Impaired Driving, Exceed .08, and Dangerous Driving.
