On February 24, 2022, at 6:54 p.m., the Saskatoon Police received a call of three males walking around in the area of the 1600blk of 20th St W with bear mace.
Two patrol officers located the suspects and attempted to arrest the three individuals who then ran from police. A 27 year old male was immediately arrested by one of the patrol members and found to be in possession of a modified firearm.
The second suspect ran into a business in the 1600blk of 20th St W and turned on the officer with bear mace in his hand. The officer deployed their Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW). The suspect was able to escape without being apprehended.
The third suspect was able to flee the area without being apprehended.
The 27 year old male is facing charges of weapon dangerous, carry concealed weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and various breaches of court orders. He will attend court tomorrow morning.
