A suspect was quickly located and arrested by officers following an armed robbery this morning.

On March 10, 2023 at around 7:15 a.m., police responded to the area of Avenue S South and 20th Street West for a report of an armed robbery. The victim, a 26-year-old man, reported that he had been walking in the area when he was approached by a person unknown to him; a knife was produced and the victim was robbed of his wallet. The victim was not physically injured during the exchange with the suspect.

A short time later, the suspect, a 14-year-old male from Saskatoon, was located by responding officers near 21st Street West and Avenue T South; multiple knives and the victim's wallet were located on his person. He was arrested following a brief struggle; charges are pending.
