The Serious Assault Unit is investigating after a man was stabbed yesterday morning.

On March 16, 2023 at around 1:00 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of 2nd Avenue North for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located the 35-year-old victim suffering from a stab wound. Further investigation found that a verbal exchange between the suspect and victim may have taken place prior to the stabbing; it is unknown if they were known to one another. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
