The Saskatoon Police Service Interpersonal Violence Section has charged three people in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in the 300 block of Witney Avenue North.
Further investigation has found that sometime after 11:30 p.m., on March 27, 2023, the victim, a 21-year-old woman was unlawfully confined, assaulted and sexually assaulted. At approximately 9:30 a.m., on March 28, 2023, police were able to safely remove the victim from the area. She was transported to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries, and for further assessment.
As a result of enforcement action at the residence on March 28, 2023; a 33-year-old man was arrested and is charged with Sexual Assault, Assault, Unlawful Confinement and Uttering Threats. A 20-year-old man was arrested and faces charges of Assault and Unlawful Confinement. A 13-year-old girl was also arrested, and is charged with Unlawful Confinement.

Two people are in custody following an incident in the 300 block of Witney Ave. North earlier today.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., March 28, 2023, Police received a report that a person may have been forcibly confined at a residence there. Upon arrival they were not able to gain access to the residence or make contact with anyone inside. The Tactical Support Unit, Crisis Negotiation Unit and Canine Unit assisted patrol and took two persons into custody. They have now cleared the scene.

The Saskatoon Police Service remains on scene at an incident in the 300 block of Witney Avenue North.
Patrol officers have set up a perimeter around the area and the SPS Tactical Support Unit has contained a residence. The general public is currently asked to avoid the area until further notice, and traffic restrictions are still in place near the intersection of Rusholme Road and Witney Avenue.
