Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - Saskatoon

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Saskatoon man with child pornography offences. Members of the ICE Unit began an investigation in April of 2023 and on June 8th, 2023, executed a search warrant at a home in Saskatoon.

Several electronic devices were examined and seized. As a result of evidence located during the investigation, 25-year-old Tanner Christopher Olafson has been charged with the following:

  • 2 Counts - Possession of Child Pornography - 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code
  • 1 Count - Make available Child Pornography -163.1(3) of the Criminal Code

He was released from custody on numerous conditions until his next court appearance at Saskatoon Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
