Renewed Request For Public Assistance - Historical Homicide - Central Avenue And Agra Road

After 16 years, the Saskatoon Police Service is renewing its request for public assistance in the 2007 homicide of Paul Theodore Jacobson.

In the afternoon hours of July 3, 2007, police received a call from a citizen reporting to have located a body in a ditch near Central Avenue and Agra Road. Upon arrival, then 44-year-old Paul Theodore Jacobson was located deceased. He was later confirmed to be the victim of homicide.

The investigation into this historical homicide remains open. No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case. Saskatoon Police are asking for the public’s help in solving a historical murder.

On July 3, 2007 Police were called to a location near Central Avenue and Agra Road. A passerby had discovered the body of a man. The man was identified as 44 year old Paul Theodore Jacobson of Saskatoon and investigation showed that he was the victim of a homicide.

Over the last decade Major Crime investigators have interviewed many people in regard to this case, and have developed suspects. However there are additional individuals who the investigators need to speak to.

Paul Jacobson was last known to have attended a home on the 600 block of University Drive on the evening of July 1, 2007. Witness interviews indicate Jacobson arrived at the home with a female friend, who left the home shortly after arriving. Investigators have not been able to identify this woman. They are asking her to come forward, or for anyone with information relevant to this investigation to come forward.

Saskatoon Police Major Crime Investigators have determined that the death of a man whose body was found yesterday is a homicide.

At this time police are not releasing the cause of death but the man has been identified as 44 year old Paul Theodore Jacobson of Saskatoon.

Early yesterday afternoon police received a call by a passerby who spotted a body in a ditch at Central Avenue and Agra Road. It is believed the victims body had been there for less than a day. Major Crime will continue to investigate.

Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Investigators are en route following the discovery of a body on Saskatoon’s northeast side.

Early this afternoon a passerby notified police that he had discovered a body in a ditch at the North end of Central Avenue and Agra Road. The body is believed to be that of a male. The area has been cordoned off for investigation. No other information is available at this time.
