One man was arrested Friday night after being seen pointing a gun at another man.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., June 30, 2023, Patrol officers were dispatched to 20th Street West and Avenue H South for a report of a man pointing a gun at someone. Upon arrival, Police located two men standing in front of a business in the 700 block of 20th Street West. One man was holding a firearm, which he immediately dropped as officers approached. The two men were taken into custody without incident. The gun was determined to be an air-soft pistol and the man in possession of it appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant.

Following the investigation, a 64-year-old man was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. The other party, a 28-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants and also transported to SPS Detention.
