Members of the Guns and Gangs Unit arrested four individuals yesterday after receiving information that some may be in possession of firearms.
On July 19, 2023, the Guns and Gangs Unit conducted surveillance on an address in the 300 block of Avenue G South where the individuals were believed to be inside; during which, three males and a female were observed exiting. All were arrested without incident and upon search of their persons, two 17-year-old males were found to be in possession of loaded firearms. As a result, the .22 calibre sawed-off rifle and .22 calibre handgun were seized by police and both males are facing several charges relating to prohibited and restricted weapons. A third 17-year-old male was arrested on unrelated warrants and the 21-year-old female was released without charges.
