Police arrested a man after he assaulted an individual and was found with a number of weapons.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., August 18, 2023, Patrol officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of 1st Avenue North. Security guards reported that a man was located sleeping in the parking lot. Upon waking the male, he reportedly assaulted a guard, causing minor injuries. The 37-year-old victim detained the suspect until Police arrived and arrested the male suspect. On his person, officers located and seized two knives, a collapsible baton, methamphetamine and hydromorphone.

A 33-year-old man is charged with Assault, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x3) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (x2).
