Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - Maple Creek

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Maple Creek man with possession of child pornography. On August 31, 2023, investigators with the ICE unit executed a search warrant at the residence which had been identified as where the offence had been occurring. Forensic examination of several electronic devices was conducted and Kiyomichi NAKANISHI, age 30, was arrested and charged with:

  • 1 count of Possession of Child Pornography - Section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code

The investigation is continuing and there may be more charges forthcoming.

He was released on numerous conditions with a court date set for September 14, 2023.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the internet.
