Renewed Request For Public Assistance - Historical Homicide - Eagleson Thomas

Police have arrested and charged two persons in connection with the 2020 historical homicide of Eagleson Thomas.

On May 28, 2024, a 27-year-old woman was arrested by the Edmonton Police Service in Edmonton, Alberta on a warrant related to the homicide. She was transported to Saskatoon and arrested into the custody of the Saskatoon Police Service before appearing in court on May 29, 2024. The woman was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Then, on June 5, 2024, a 41-year-old man was arrested by the Prince Albert Police Service in Prince Albert on a warrant related to the homicide. He was transported to Saskatoon, arrested into the custody of the Saskatoon Police Service, and will appear in court on June 6, 2024. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

Saskatoon Police are renewing its request for public assistance in the 2020 homicide of Eagleson Thomas.

Three years ago, on September 15, 2020, the human remains of 23-year-old Eagleson Thomas were located in a residence in the 400 block of Avenue G South. It was determined that he had been the victim of homicide. Mr. Thomas was confirmed to have last been seen on August 14, 2020 in Saskatoon and a missing person’s report was made on September 10, 2020.

The investigation into this historical homicide remains open. No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case.
