Two men are facing criminal charges following a traffic stop by police earlier this morning.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., October 11, 2023, canine and patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on an unregistered Jeep Liberty in the 2500 block of 22nd Street West. The 47-year-old driver was found to be prohibited from driving. During his arrest, officers found him to be in possession of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and a scale.

Further investigation of the vehicle located a rifle, additional methamphetamine, and suspected fentanyl.

The driver and the 28-year-old passenger are each facing numerous firearms- and drug-related charges.
