Members of the Major Crime Section have concluded their investigation into the death of a male who was struck by a train this morning. The collision was found to have occurred near the 1800 block of Avenue F North. No foul play was involved. An investigation will now be conducted by the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.

Saskatoon Police are currently on the scene of a collision between a train and a pedestrian near Circle Drive between Edmonton Avenue and Avenue D North. At approximately 8:30 a.m., October 16, 2023, it was reported to SPS that a train had struck an individual on the railway tracks. Upon arrival, Police located a deceased male. Next of kin has not yet been conducted.
Traffic restrictions are in place at 33rd Street West and Edmonton Avenue. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues. Further updates will be released when more information becomes available.
