The Saskatoon Police Service responded to the call of a collision between a vehicle and a tree early this morning.
At around midnight on November 21, 2023, officers were called to the 100 block of Whiteswan Drive for the report of a collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle had hit a tree. The passenger, a 23-year-old woman was still inside the vehicle, but the driver, a 34-year-old man was found to have exited the vehicle. He was found further down the block on the sidewalk and is believed to have been under the influence of an intoxicant. Traffic restrictions were put in place and the SPS Collision Analyst Detail attended the scene.
Both the 34-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were taken to hospital, by Medavie Health Services, with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Charges are currently pending.
Traffic restrictions in the area have since been lifted.
