A 38-year-old man is facing numerous firearms related charges after a SPS Gun and Gangs Unit investigation.
On November 16, 2023, at around 3 p.m., an ongoing Guns and Gangs Unit investigation led to a search warrant being executed in the 200 block of 28th Street West. The SPS Tactical Support Unit supported in calling out a number of people, and subsequently arresting the 38-year-old suspect of the investigation, inside the residence.
A resulting search of the residence recovered two sawed-off rifles, a handgun, and ammunition.
The 38-year-old man now faces 12 firearms related charges, including possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition (x2), and possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized (x3). He was also wanted on two Canada wide warrants
