One man has been arrested after causing a disturbance and assaulting a police officer yesterday.

Shortly prior to 3:00 p.m. on November 21, 2023, police were called to an educational institution in the 700 block of Cynthia Street for a report of a man causing a disturbance. Officers arrived to find the man acting erratically inside the building. He did not comply with police commands and actively resisted arrest; during a struggle with officers, the man was brought to the ground where he then kicked a Constable in the head twice causing non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, the 37-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and assaulting a police officer.
