Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit (SPSDU) have concluded an investigation into the drug trafficking activities of two Saskatoon men.
As part of the investigation, on August 15, 2023, a search warrant was executed on two vehicles as well as a residence in the 500 block of McKercher Drive. As a result, the following evidentiary seizures were made;
- 694.76 grams of cocaine
- 6.71 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately $89,000 CAD
- 12-gauge shotgun, loaded with additional ammunition
- Brass knuckles
- Conducted energy weapon
- Machete
- 2017 Ford Escape
- 2010 Toyota Tundra
- 2010 GMC Terrain
- Assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
- Other offence-related property
On November 21, 2023, members of SPSDU concluded the investigation, resulting in a 35-year-old man having been arrested and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000, and several firearm- and weapons-related offences. A 38-year-old man has also been charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000, and two weapons-related offences.
