Today, the Saskatoon Police Service is releasing its first ever podcast, Deals, Debts, & Death: The Disappearance of Kandice Singbeil. This SPS-produced podcast series explores the 2015 unsolved disappearance of 32-year-old Kandice Marie Singbeil.
Kandice was last seen riding her bike on a downtown Saskatoon street more than eight years ago. Since that time, investigators have spoken to numerous people and followed up on many different pieces of information.
The podcast explores Kandice’s life and the investigation into her disappearance, and features interviews with Kandice’s family, retired and current SPS investigators, and other community members.
“Typically, we see technological advancements relating to forensics aid investigations, but we can’t overlook the opportunities afforded to us by new communication tools,” says Acting Chief Cameron McBride. “By introducing a podcast, we are exploring new communications mediums to reach as many people as possible in an effort to generate discussion, and hopefully new leads.”
The five-part series is available here, as well as on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever people get their podcasts.
Anyone with information about Kandice’s disappearance is asked to contact Saskatoon Police investigators at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
