As a result of continued investigation by members of the Serious Assault Unit, photo evidence has since be obtained of a person of interest relating to an assault over the weekend. The photo is attached for distribution.

At approximately 3:10 p.m. on March 31, 2024, police were called to the parking lot of a business in the 3500 Block of 8th Street East for an unknown problem. Upon arrival, officers located a 71-year-old man who had been bear sprayed by an unknown person. Continued investigation found that, following a verbal altercation in the parking lot, the male suspect vandalized the victim’s vehicle and bear sprayed him.
The suspect is described as a male in his mid-20s with a height of 5’5” and weight of approximately 130lbs; he was seen wearing all dark clothing at the time of the incident and was with two other persons of unknown descriptions.
Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
