Renewed Request For Public Assistance - Historical Homicide - Tanya Alcrow

Four years later, the Saskatoon Police Service is renewing its request for public assistance in the historical homicide of 19-year-old Tanya Alcrow.

On April 13, 2020 at approximately 3:40 a.m., police received a report of an injured woman near the intersection of Avenue T and 21st Street. She was transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The woman was later identified as Alcrow.

Through investigation, a dark-coloured truck was identified in surveillance footage as being involved. The truck was parked on Avenue T facing north at the time of the homicide. Witnesses reported that the victim approached the truck when she sustained the gunshot wound. The truck stayed parked for almost one minute after the shooting and then travelled north toward 22nd Street.

The investigation into this historical homicide remains open. No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case.
