One man was arrested after a disturbance led to an assault and multiple robberies.
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on April 25, 2024, police were called to a commercial building in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue South for a report of a man who had gained entry to a secure area and was acting erratically while causing a disturbance. The suspect assaulted a security guard in two separate areas as he proceeded throughout the building while stealing the property of multiple employees. The suspect then fled the scene with some of the stolen property prior to police arrival but was located and arrested near 21st Street East and 1st Avenue South a short time later; officers located the remainder of the stolen property upon search of his person.
As a result, a 27-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with assault, attempted robbery, robbery (x3), and mischief over $5000.
