On May 3, 2024 at approximately 11:30 p.m. members of Patrol responded to reports of an injured person in the 400 Block of Kenderdine Road. Further updates stated a handgun had been shown and pointed at the victim.

Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the victim; however, video evidence obtained helped officers find descriptions of the suspects and victim. After further investigation, officers located two vehicles in a parking lot in the 100 block of Nelson Road.

A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted and 7 individuals were taken into custody. The vehicles were searched and officers found multiple firearms.

The SPS Guns & Gangs Unit assisted in this investigation. As a result, three 16-year-old males have been charged with multiple firearms offences.

The SPS continues to investigate and attempt to locate the victim.
