Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate after a woman was stabbed this morning.

At around 5:30 a.m. this morning, May 9, 2024, police responded to a report of an injured person in the 200 block of Avenue B North. Upon arrival, officers located the 38-year-old female victim suffering from what was believed to be a non-life-threatening stab wound. She was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of her injury. As a result of continued investigation, the Serious Assault Unit, assisted by the Tactical Support Unit and Patrol, executed a general warrant on an address in the 400 block of Idylwyld Drive North. Several people were removed from the residence as a result. The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing and charges are expected to be laid in relation.
