The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating following a house fire involving an injured female early Monday morning.
At approximately 3:40 a.m. on May 27, 2024 police were called to the 100 Block of Avenue Q South for reports of a fire.
Upon arrival, officers located an injured female victim on the front steps with injuries consistent with an assault; the woman was unconscious and not answering officer’s questions. The 35-year-old woman was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious injuries, while the Fire Department handled the fire. Members of patrol accompanied the victim to the hospital; however, due to her condition officers were unable to communicate with her.
