The assault occurred outside of the transit bus, not on the bus as previously stated.
The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating after an assault on a bus Monday afternoon.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 17, 2024 police received a call regarding an assault on a city transit bus in the 200 Block of Fairmont Drive. Further updates stated Medavie Health Services West was transporting the victim to hospital. Shortly after, police responded to the St. Pauls Hospital where the victim was taken.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, a 55-year-old male bus driver, who explained he was assaulted by two youth males. Both suspects fled the scene.
