A female is recovering following an assault that occurred yesterday afternoon.

Just after 1:30 p.m. on May 28, 2024, police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue G North for reports of an assault in progress.

Arriving officers searched the area but the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was believed to have sustained several non-life-threatening injuries. The victim and the subject are not known to each other.

The male suspect is described as approximately 6’2”, weighing 160-170lbs in his late 20’s to early 30’s. At the time of the assault he was carrying a vacuum.
