One man has been arrested following an altercation on a city bus last night.

At around 10:30 p.m. on May 29, 2024, police were called to a bus that was stationary at a bus stop in the 1200 block of 8th Street East for a report of an altercation that had occurred between three males. It was reported to police that one of the males had made inappropriate verbal advances towards a group of underage females on the bus when he was confronted by two other males; a physical altercation occurred on the bus before the involved parties exited and fled. Officers located one of the males, believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant, a short distance away attempting to gain entry onto a separate, uninvolved, stationary city bus. During his arrest, the man spit in the face of a Constable. The two other involved males were not located by police.

As a result, the 19-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with assaulting a police officer and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
