Police are investigating following an assault with a machete this morning.
On May 31, 2024 at approximately 7:20 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of 22nd Street West for reports of an assault in progress.
While responding to the scene, officers located the 44-year-old male victim at a separate location suffering from serious injuries; he was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of his injuries.
Further investigation resulted in officers obtaining video evidence from the original scene that showed the victim being assaulted with a machete. The suspect is described as a male wearing black pants, a black hat, and a black sweater with a red Chicago Bulls jersey over top.
