The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT) has arrested two people in relation to a “dial-a-dope” investigation.
On June 8, 2024 at approximately 10:20 p.m. members of the Crime Reduction Team (CRT), alongside members of the Tactical Support Unit (TSU) conducted enforcement targeting a “dial-a-dope” style operation in the 1800 Block of 8th Street East.
A 31-year-old man and 23-year-old man were located and arrested without incident. Upon further investigation, cash, cocaine, and methamphetamine were seized.
Members of TSU then conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 600 Block of Hamm Place. Cocaine and cash were located at this residence as well.
Both men are facing charges relating to drug and proceeds of crime over $5000, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
As a result of this investigation, the following exhibits were seized:
- $6796 in cash
- 29 grams of methamphetamine
- 45.6 grams of hard cocaine
- 8.8 grams of powdered cocaine
- Cell phones
- Folding knives
- Drug packaging and other items consistent with drug trafficking
- 2010 Dodge Caravan
- 2012 Ford Focus
