UPDATE: Homicide - 400 Block Forrester Road

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is continuing to request information regarding a homicide that occurred on June 12, 2024.

Investigators are searching for any information, including video surveillance, particularly in the area of the 400 block of Forrester Road. This would include any suspicious activity between 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. on June 12th.

Any information you have could assist police, all tips are valuable to investigators. Anyone with information relating to the homicide is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are investigating following the city’s 11th homicide.

Just after 6:00 a.m. on June 12, 2024, police received a report of an injured man in the 400 block of Forrester Road. Arriving officers observed a man suffering from life-threatening injuries being attended to by paramedics. The 66-year-old man was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators in the Major Crime Section are asking residents living in the area of Hull Crescent (facing the school), Forrester Road, Olmstead Road, Cooper Way and Cooper Crescent to review any security cameras on their properties for signs of suspicious activity between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. Residents are also asked to check their yards and disposal bins for discarded evidence that may be relevant to the investigation.

Police are on scene and investigating after a person was injured in the 400 Block of Forrester Road.

One man has been taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues. There is not believed to be a threat to public safety.
