The Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit is investigating following an aggravated assault over the weekend.

At around 9:50 a.m. on June 15, 2024 police responded to reports of an injured person walking Northbound on Avenue C. Further updates stated the male was in the 300 Block of Avenue C South.

Upon arrival, officers located the 55-year-old male victim suffering from serious injuries; he was then transported to hospital. The victim told police he had been attacked with an axe by another man. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
