Five people were arrested after a firearm was seized from a vehicle on Monday.

On June 17, 2024 at approximately 1:00 p.m. police were called to the 600 Block of Duchess Street for reports of a man getting into a vehicle with a firearm.

Officers located the vehicle in the area of 33rd Street and Idylwyld Drive North and initiated a traffic stop. Five occupants of the vehicle were then arrested and upon search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun. A spent cartridge case was also found on one of their persons.

Continued investigation found that the firearm was discharged at a residence during a dispute, but no one was injured.

As a result, two men, age 32 and 30, are facing several charges relating to robbery, firearms, assault, and breaching court ordered conditions. A 20-year-old man, 34-year-old woman, and a 35-year-old individual are also facing numerous firearms-related charges.
