Three youth males are facing charges following a weapons call on a city bus on Friday.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. on June 21, 2024 police were called to Fairmont Drive and Fairlight Drive for reports of bear spray being sprayed inside a transit bus.
Upon arrival the suspects had fled the scene and the bus driver and passengers had exited the bus. All of the victims stated they did not need paramedics; however, in speaking with the victims officers were able to obtain suspect descriptions.
Officers began searching the area and located the suspects in an alley in the 200 Block of Fairmont Drive. Two of the males were arrested without incident; the third fled on foot but was arrested shortly after.
As a result, two 15-year-old males and a 17-year-old male are facing charges relating to assault (x5), mischief over $5000, and administering bear spray. The 15-year-olds are also facing charges relating to possession of a weapon, and concealing a weapon.
