Three people have been arrested in relation to an aggravated assault on Monday night.

On June 24, 2024 at approximately 8:50 p.m., police responded to reports of an assault in progress in the 1300 block of 33rd Street East. Further updates stated the suspects left in a vehicle towards 25th Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries; he was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital. After further investigation, officers were able to obtain a license plate number for the suspect vehicle from a witness; with that information officers were able to locate the vehicle a short time later.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted and the three suspects were arrested. As a result, a 22-year-old man, 23-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman are facing charges relating to aggravated assault. The 22-year-old man was also found to be in breach of court-ordered conditions, and also had an outstanding warrant for a break and enter.
