One man was arrested after being found to be in possession of ammunition on Sunday.
On June 30, 2024 at approximately 12:40 p.m. police responded to reports of an unknown problem in the 900 block of 22nd Street West. While en route, officers were called to the 1100 block of 22nd Street West for reports of an injured person who had possibly been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers were advised the male victim had left the scene.
Officers attended the original call location and upon further investigation located a knife and ammunition.
Shortly after, members of Patrol spotted a male who appeared to be injured and attempted to stop him for a welfare check. Upon further investigation, the man was found to be in possession of ammunition believed to be consistent with the ammunition found at the original scene.
As a result, a 41-year-old man was arrested and faces charges relating to possession of ammunition dangerous to the public, and breaching his firearm prohibition order.
