The Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit is investigating a stabbing over the long weekend.
On July 1, 2024 at approximately 12:20 a.m. members of Patrol were in the area of 2nd Avenue South and 20th Street East when flagged down by a group of males who stated a man had been stabbed.
Officers then stopped the victim who was suffering from injuries consistent with a stabbing. He explained he was stabbed by a female and male trying to steal his bike. The victim was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The female suspect is described as approximately 25-years-old with tattoos on her hands and one of her eyebrows, brown hair, white pants, and a dark coloured wind breaker jacket. The victim described the male suspects as six feet tall, average build, short hair, no facial hair, no tattoos, and one was wearing a black hat while the other had a white hat on.
The Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate and anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is asked to call police at 306-975-8300 or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
