One man was arrested in relation to a break and enter early Saturday morning.
On July 13, 2024 at approximately 12:40 a.m. police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 2100 block of 17th Street West.
Upon arrival, officers observed damage to multiple areas of the home. Police then located the suspect inside the residence and attempted to detain him; however, the man did not comply with police orders. A K9 was deployed and assisted officers with apprehending the suspect.
As a result, the 46-year-old man was arrested and transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries consistent with a dog bite. He was later transported to detention and is facing charges relating to prowl at night, break and enter, and possession of a weapon.
