A Saskatoon man has been arrested in relation to an assault that occurred Friday morning.
At approximately 9:10 a.m. on July 19, 2024 police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue B North for a report of an assault in progress. The call information stated a male was assaulting a female in a backyard.
Upon arrival, officers observed the man attempt to flee the scene running towards the back alley; however, with the assistance of K9, the man was located hiding in a shed in the backyard. Once again, the man attempted to evade police; he was stopped and arrested.
As a result, a 42-year-old man is facing charges relating to assault (x2), assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions. The man was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
