The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating following an assault Monday evening.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. on July 29, 2024 police were called to the 600 Block of Spadina Crescent East for a report of an altercation involving a weapon. Further updates stated a person had been assaulted.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrival; however, officers located the victim; she was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Upon further investigation, officers learned the woman had been assaulted by a man with a piece of a firearm. The weapon was located on scene.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 40-50-years-old, approximately 6 feet tall, with long brown or dark gray hair, wearing a white or gray shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
