One man was arrested following a robbery Thursday evening.

On August 1, 2024 at approximately 7:00 p.m. police were called to the area of 10th Street East and Broadway Avenue for a report for a robbery. Further information stated a male had a knife and tried to stab someone.

The suspect fled before police arrival; however, the Air Support Unit (ASU) observed the suspect walking on a pathway near Saskatchewan Crescent. ASU directed K9 units to the suspect’s location along the river where he was then arrested.

As a result, a 42-year-old man is facing charges in relation to assault with a weapon, uttering threats, obstructing police, possession of a weapon, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions.
